You can eat and feel great at the same time when consuming superfoods. Superfoods help your body to feel stronger, leaner, and heal in ways that are unimaginable. Superfoods are filled with benefits including energy boosters to fat and disease fighting agents. Below are some of the greatest (and tastiest) superfoods for your body:

Wild Alaskan Salmon:

Wild salmon is filled with heart-healthy omega 3s including DHA. Omega 3s help to boost moods, fight depression, and even protect against Alzheimer’s disease and cancer. Consuming about 2 servings a week is recommended.

Wild blueberries:

Research suggests that blueberries help to prevent memory loss, improve motor skills, and lower blood pressure. Blueberries are also high in antioxidants and help to fight aging! Aim for half a cup to one cup per day.

Oats:

Everyone knows that oats can help in lowering cholesterol, but did you know that oats are also rich in fibers which are great for helping our bodies feel full for longer. When making oatmeal, steel cut oats deliver the most fiber.

Broccoli:

Research has suggested that the chemicals in broccoli may help to prevent breast cancer by fighting off excess estrogen. Broccoli is rich in vitamin C, fiber, folic acid, calcium, iron, and potassium.

Walnuts:

Simply eating just a handful of walnuts daily can help to lower cholesterol, boost your brain power, sleep better, cope with stress, prevent heart disease, and fight off cancer. Need we say more?

Avocados:

Although they are high in fat, they are high in the good kind of fat! These heart-healthy fatty acids present in avocados can help in loosing belly fat, and will provide your body with high amounts of potassium, magnesium, folic acid, protein, and vitamins B6, E, and K!

Dark Chocolate:

Rich in heart-healthy antioxidants, dark chocolate can help to reduce the risk of stroke and heart disease.
